We are excited to announce a new opportunity for small teams at the in-person BMT 2026: BMT Team Link!
Team Link is an optional program that merges teams with fewer than 4 students with each other on tournament day. BMT Team Link is only available at our in-person tournament. It will not be offered for BMT 2026 Online.
Although students may register as a team of 1, BMT's team-based rounds (Power and Guts) are designed for 4-6 students to work on together. A bigger team is more fun, and it is also beneficial when weighing Individual Round scores for team awards (see “Important Scoring Notes” in our scoring guidelines).
To sign up for Team Link, register for BMT 2026, and coaches should indicate it for each of their teams on ContestDojo. Please see our ContestDojo Guide for how to register and create teams. The coach can change their selection until the end of Late Registration on November 1. Teams of fewer than 4 students are eligible to participate in Team Link.
On Tournament Day, BMT staff will assist you with Team Link after your team has completed check-in. More details about the location and time will be released closer to the tournament date. Please plan to arrive at the beginning of the check-in time if you plan to participate. Team Link closes 15 minutes before check-in ends.
* Chaperones for each team must stay on campus for the whole contest, even after their students join a Team Link team.
We still offer the BMT 2026 Teammate Finder for anyone who wants to plan their team ahead of time. Any team with fewer than four students can join Team Link, including teams formed through the Teammate Finder.
* BMT will do its best to form teams of five or six students. Students who arrive earlier during check-in are more likely to end up on a team that size. Teams of four are also not penalized; see the BMT Scoring Guidelines. BMT staff and volunteers cannot guarantee who your team will be paired with.
